During the lecture period, a guest usually speaks every Tuesday about his or her current area of research. Everyone is cordially invited to this public event. Especially for students, this offers the opportunity to get a good overview of current topics in physics and adjacent areas.

Before the lecture, Mayor Mrs. Brigitte Merk-Erbe, Chairwoman of the Emil Warburg Foundation, will award this year's Emil Warburg Prizes to Dr. Johannes Löhr and Klaus Oetter.

After the event, there will be a small reception in the foyer in honour of the Emil Warburg Prize winners.
