Doctorate and early stage researchers
You would like to contribute to research and obtain a doctorate in physics, gain scientific experience as a postdoc, lead an independent junior research group or habilitate in physics? All this is discussed directly with the working group in which they want to collaborate or which comes closest to your field of work.
You can do your doctorate in Bayreuth in the traditional procedure (doctoral regulations) and in the following structured doctoral programs:
- Research Training Group GRK 1640: Photophysics of synthetic and biological multichromophoric systems
- Biological Physics and Macromolecular Science in the Elite Network Bavaria
- Soft Matter Physics, Nonlinear Dynamics and Solid State Physics and Polymer Science of the Bayreuth Graduate School of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (BayNAT)
The habilitation regulations can be found here.
All the important information for young researchers at the University of Bayreuth is summarized by the WiN academy, the convention of the scientific staff convention of the scientific staff and the represantatives of the faculty (the key to the latter access is provided by the course tutors).
