Dr. Uwe Gerken

(* 20 June 1970    ✝ 5 January 2026)

Dr. Uwe Gerken had been working in the Soft Matter Spectroscopy Group since 2012. With his passing, we have lost a highly esteemed colleague and dedicated lecturer whose work at the Department of Physics was characterised by passion, collegiality and interdisciplinary research interests that extended beyond the boundaries of the faculty.

Our thoughts are with his family and loved ones.
