GYPT - German Young Physicists‘ Tournament

In a former lab room in the NW2 of the University of Bayreuth, students from the 8th grade have the opportunity to work on GYPT projects. They will be looked after by the two former participants Jonas Landgraf and Fabian Eller and will also receive support from experts at the university for specific problems. With the help of the Student Research Center Upper Franconia, we have acquired basic equipment and plan to expand it. In addition, we often use equipment from the University of Bayreuth. Developed at the Chair of Experimental Physics III, we offer a platform for free, motivating and creative experimentation, with a constantly growing number of project ideas, inexpensive do-it-yourself laboratory equipment from the 3D printer and suitable software.
